Base helps everyone understand and improve what’s going on with their bodies by using their blood data. We empower people to find the root cause of symptoms causing brain fog, poor sleep, stress, diet imbalances, and more. How? Our innovative and disruptive approach pairs at-home lab testing with our smart app to give data-driven recommendations and health tracking.

Yes, you heard that right — blood. You see the thing with blood is that it’s what makes us human, and more importantly it has all the answers to how we learn about our bodies. But the problem right now is no one really understands it.

We believe there is no time like the present for brands to stop talking and start doing. Which is why we built Base— so you can stop guessing and start measuring. Our goal is to stand in the gap and create a new kind of way to track your health through at-home blood testing and regular tracking.

We’re a fast growing, early stage startup with aggressive goals looking for someone to join our team and make a big impact. As the Base Marketing & Content team member, you will help champion the Base brand to mainstream media to grow brand awareness and affinity in the health tracking space. This role will work closely with our acquisition team to help in the efforts around influencer marketing, partnerships, PR, and communications across all channels (internal & external stakeholder comms). You’ll be a key component in helping to build, execute, and manage our new influencer marketing program with the purpose of scaling.

You’ll work alongside a highly collaborative team that values creative, independent thinkers with a strong point of view. The ideal candidate is dynamic, direct, a self-motivated strategic communicator who is passionate about the future of health tech and believes everyone should have access to their body’s health data.
ROLE SCOPE & IMPACT
  • Identify, acquire and maintain new influencer contacts to join internal brand relations program.
  • Assist Marketing & Brand team with execution of strategic plan to grow brand awareness/advocacy & drive incremental exposure for our key products while bringing the brand to life.
  • Cultivate and develop consistent and ongoing relationships with new and current influencers.
  • Manage campaign tracking, correspondence, asset delivery, and reporting throughout journey(s) to measure internal brand relations program success in partnership in accordance with team KPIs.
  • Community management for social channels (real-time responses).
  • Up-to-date with industry trends, channels, and content execution- ability to communicate those key trends which we should participate in.
  • All other duties as assigned.
YOU ARE / HAVE
  • 1-3 years experience in community, communications, PR in-house or at an agency.
  • Organization-obsessed, creative thinker, ability to prioritize according to fast-paced business needs.
  • Scrappy, bias for action and an entrepreneurial spirit - the idea of building a key company function from the ground up excites you.
  • Ownership and accountability for brand as it relates to projects, communication and internal / external stakeholders.
  • Passion for creative storytelling and understands how to create comprehensive and thoughtful narratives / communications plans to reach key audiences.
  • A personal interest and pulse on trending, authentic content creators across different industries.
  • Proficiency on all social platforms- twitter, youtube, IG, FB, Tiktok.
  • Writing that’s public-facing, on-brand, and solution-focused.
  • Interpreting marketing metrics (influencers’ and Base’s).
  • Taste and judgment, cultural curiosity, fluent with trends and emerging platforms.
  • Role requires various communication objectives, including sharing information, influencing others, and inspiring others. Strong ability to communicate clearly and concisely is essential.
